Jess has loved coming to Maine since her grandfather would bring her as a young girl. Trips to Maine to see her grandparents and see her grandma canning, trips to Bowdoin College where her grandfather shared his college days experiences all live in her heart. She lives in Florida and for her and her son's birthday she planned a trip to Maine this past September. What she wanted was a maternity session in Maine, one that was different from what everyone else does in Florida. We scheduled a session on one of the two mornings in Maine they were here. After many dress deliberations Jess landed on red. It really stands out against the stark blue of the morning sky and north Atlantic coast line. What you can't tell is that Jess was a tad chilly! It was a blustery day out on the water and coming from Florida it was a bit of a change! We all preserved and the outcome will be cherished for years to come. Jess has commissioned a portrait allbum and I love thinking about how her next child will enjoy turning the pages of their portrait album. I imagine her children will enjoy Maine as she does and love all the stories Jess will pass down about their great grandparent's  life in Maine. Taking time to celebrate what we love and our life with all its stories is at the heart of life itself. Photographs help tell those stories. Photo albums help them live on forever just like books with words.
