The second family on Mini-sessions at Higgins Beach, is Bre's family. Each family the number of children involved grew. First family had one child, and here we have TWO boys who love to RUN and do their own thing. No problem, we are at the beach. AND Bre told the boys if they behave they get a reward, they got to have a sparkler out on the beach! Best reward ever because it makes for fun pictures for me too! It was a win win. I highly recommend the incentive to hold a sparkler as a reward. This may work right around the 4th because kids have fireworks on their mind, and wanting to hold some form of one! Here are my favorites from 1 of my cameras I used.
MNI SESSION INFO:
Mini session are set up for 20-30 minutes of shooting with 3 families at the same location. I typically do them only for people I have shot before, or I know in some form or fashion. I do this because a half hour is a short window of time and we have less wiggle room if a family member is not in the "mind frame" to have a shoot. If parents know me , they trust me and they are at ease which puts the whole shoot off on the right foot. I like and get children so it usually isn't an issue getting them to interact with me and do things for the camera. Talking before ANY shoot is always a good idea. Many times we are busy, but talking ahead can let me know about your family and we can discuss ways to make certain we get the best out of any shoot.
