Bring back the beauty! Karrina is the daughter of Nik & Kate, my 2006 couple who were married at the Newagen Seaside Inn, and whom my friends all say look like the quintessential Maine couple. And I laugh, well they are on the West Coast! It was like 3 or 4 shoots wrapped into one with all the deliciously varying gorgeous scenery left right and center. Grandparents and great grandparents were there, and a cousin too! It was grandma's idea to get the shoot while the kids were in Maine, and she was having a ball with her grand baby! yes man flash. enough of the gorgeous scenic maine beauty. lets get down to what really happens at weddings. people let loose and feel inspired to do things they would not do, at work, or sitting in rush hour traffic. in letting loose they create unforgettable moments... something to talk about, ... like me, well let me tell you about the wedding where the guys took their shirts of ff. I've got to share that one a lot and most recently last Saturday where men took there pants off. that is for a future blog... so kudos to my assistant Alicia Lane for getting these images of men in all their glory. entitle man flesh. yes from a movie I have watched 20 times. People were feeling it at Steph & Mike's wedding - I had to blog it again. |

and let me say i also have decided that steph's wedding dress is now the #1 contender. I just think it is so lovely. Now despite the fact I am 3 ins shorter and probably a good 10 lbs heavier than mrs steph. I think I would enjoy wearing a dress just like that. I usually go for non strapless, but this is so delicate and fitting. The other 2 current contenders are Pam's red dress, and Amie's 2nd dress, and altered Vera.SO many dresses, no wonder some people get married mower than one! photos by my assistant, Alicia Lane |

The Retreat at French's Point in Stockton Springs is a beautiful location. I encourage anyone traveling up the coast of Maine from Belfast to Bar Harbor to stop in for a visit, a stay. I photographed the Kearney family's annual family gathering there. This family hires a photographer for their annual gatherings where ever they maybe and they all knew the drill about taking pictures. I was having too much fun taking pictures at this locale, but everyone wanted to move onto drinks and food. Ok that was cool. and so was the yummy margarita offered to me! It was a new recipe I had never heard of. Let me know if you are in need of knowing :) |

On a hot hot July day I met with Alex and her ever growing family for another shoot in Biddeford pool. She was not quite ready, but that was great with me. I like the candid moments. I also photographed her sister and her two cutie pies. Into the shoot we get a brilliant idea to photograph Alex her sister, mom and all the kids on the porch. At which point the kids were not having it! I like those shots. The real moments that 15 years from now may humble a teenager, for a moment. Here's to great family shots! |

Session # 3 for baby Bea complete! What a doll. We had her shoot with her mom Willa, my former bride at her Gammy's house in Georgetown. Gammy had a meeting to go to but we got gampa in a few shots. Three kids, two parents and a photo shoot! ... John bought Jen a gift card for a photo shoot for mother's day this year. We had several shoots scheduled, pending rain, rescheduled. Finally, we met. A rainstorm was pending, again, and did visit us for a moment. Everyone was on a different schedule and mind set - but we made it happen. I had to separate my summer blog page into more than one page this season. I found the page was taking to long to load already and there is so much more to blog.So for previous summer blog entries use : SUMMER I 2010 . Lots of good shoots going on! Hope you are having a wonderful summer! It is my goal to get to at least 10 different Maine Beaches this summer. It can be for a shoot, to swim or play in the mud with Lucia. So far we have done: Winslow ( here in town!), Sandy Point Beach, Popham Beach (one of my fav's), Higgins, Kettle Cove and East End Beach ( that's a regular spot for the dogs, but it counts! Today we hit Thomas Point Beach for a birthday party for Lulu. that will make 8!
